    Rolling Never Felt or Looked So Good! Rookie Rollers to Hard Core Athletes can benefit from the exercises in this manual.
    I am the proud possessor of a foam roller. I regularly lie on it to stretch out my back whenever I have back pain. I never realized that, if I made better use of my foam roller, I could actually prevent these injuries, aches and pains.

    The introductory chapters of Let It Roll explain the basics and the importance of proper body positioning, breathing and muscle control. The graphics are excellent and show you how to position your body with each new movement, and the instructions are precise without being overly wordy.

    The author also describes the various types of foam rollers currently on the market, the various degrees of firmness, and their suitability for the exercises in this book.

    There is no doubt in my mind that if you follow this manual faithfully, you will have mastered the key elements to achieve flexibility, balance and – very importantly – pain relief!!!

    The exercises include your basic Bridge with Roller position and cover just about every body part. The section on ITB issues is one I sorely needed to investigate. You can work on your ITB muscles using your foam roller, or grab a stretch band to perform various leg stretches in order to target this problem area.

    I can definitely see myself using many if not all of the exercises and positions illustrated in this well-organized book: you even get a reps sheet designed for targeted problem areas, and a couple of challenging workout programs.

    And on the personal side: the author comes across as positive and peppy. I loved her various quips:

    Rest is Rust

    Motion is Lotion (i.e., motion helps remove waste products/debris out of your cartilege)

    Not “wear and tear” – instead “load and adapt”…

    and finally:

    Your Best Posture is Your Next Posture (Keep Moving!!)

    I’m rating this one a 5 out of 5 exceptionally well-done stars!

    This book has honestly changed the way I feel about playing sport. For me being a young basketball player I have had so many days waking up feeling like I cannot walk or play much sport anymore. Ever since I have read this book I have learnt the real reasons why my knees are the way they are. After doing exercises to stabilise my core I have now never felt better.
    I have only been doing these exercises for a month or so, however, the changes I can feel in my knees is honestly something I never thought I would feel.
    I graduated in 2020 playing and training for basketball 9 days a week. Now I feel after I wake up the next morning after a training session that I could play another game straight away. I don’t feel the pain I used to.
    I want to thank Fiona for her book because it really changed the way I feel and I will continue to do these exercises and continue to play basketball because I feel I can play more and more.
